Naya Rivera Look-alike Shay Mitchell 'Heartbroken' Over Star's Disappearance

"Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell is the latest actress to speak out about Naya Rivera's disappearance. One day after the "Glee" actress vanished while swimming with her four-year-old son in Lake Piru, her longtime compared look-alike addressed the devastating news on her social media. Naya Rivera and Shay Mitchell have been considered each other's doppelgänger for several years and the "Pretty Little Liars" star has even joked that Naya Rivera is her "sistah from another mistah" in the past.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Shay Mitchell shared the last photo that the "Glee" actress ever posted to her social media. It was shared on the day she disappeared and shows her kissing her son while dripping wet. Many assume this is a snap taken out on the lake before her alleged drowning. Naya Rivera posted the mother and son selfie with the gut-wrenching caption, "just the two of us." Shay Mitchell shared the photo and included a heartbreak emoji.

The search for Naya Rivera's body is still underway and picked back up this morning. Ventura County Sherrif's Office has changed the status from search and rescue to recovery and now believes the "Glee" star has died from drowning. Authorities have admitted the recovery operation has been a "very slow process" due to the "difficult conditions." Police informed the press that divers are experiencing "less than one foot of visibility in the water in daylight." But her family isn't giving up hope.
“Naya’s mother is frightened and concerned and has reached out to loved ones late [Wednesday night] to pray for Naya’s return,” a source told Us Weekly. The insider also said the actress' family held a “prayer service” on Thursday, July 9.
Naya Rivera went missing on Wednesday, July 8 while swimming in the lake with her toddler and vanished without a trace. Her son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, was found on the boat alone and told law enforcement that his mom jumped into the lake and never came back up. Police have since released a surveillance video showing Naya Rivera pulling up to the boat dock that day but it's raised some questions with fans. Twitter has been flooded with conspiracy theories as the search for Naya Rivera's body continues.
