Prince Harry could be fulfilling his late mother Princess Diana's dream by moving to Malibu in the neighborhood she reportedly wanted to live. The 35-year-old Duke of Sussex, who recently took a step back from his royal duties, has been looking to make the big move to Los Angeles with his wife, Meghan Markle, and 10-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The pair have reportedly been looking at homes all over the prestigious star-studded suburb and according to several outlets, recently viewed a Malibu mansion on the market for a whopping $20 million!

But don't worry, they aren't buying. Daily Mail says the couple plans to rent the gorgeous Tuscan-style 8-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion in order for Meghan Markle to be close to Hollywood agents. The former "Suits" actress reportedly hopes to get back in the industry and rekindle her acting career. The $20 million property, nicknamed Petra Manor, goes for $10,000 a night on sites like VRBO and will give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a taste of life in Malibu before permanently laying down roots for their family. The $20 million home's neighborhood is special to Prince Harry as it's close to the villa that Dodi Fayed bought right before the fatal car crash with Princess Diana.

According to her former royal butler, Paul Burrell, she planned on moving to the Malibu mansion to escape the British press. In 2007, Burrell spoke out about Princess Diana's hope to transplant William and Harry out to Los Angeles. "She said, 'This is our new life, just won't it be great, think of the lifestyle the boys — nobody's judgmental here in America, you don't have the class system, you don't have the establishment,'" he recalled in an interview with ABC news. Sadly, Princess Diana never got her wish. She died with Dodi Fayed, who had a romantic relationship, in 1997 after their car crashed in Paris.

This isn't the only home Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have looked at in Malibu, although it does have the highest price tag. In February, the duo checked out a $7 million mansion in the area. The property was much smaller, boasting a large swimming pool, a tennis court, and five bedrooms. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been staying on a $10 million property in Vancouver Island, Canada while transitioning through "Megxit." They reportedly left Canada last week and have been relaxing during quarantine in Los Angeles.
