OJ Simpson Makes Promise Of 'Getting Even' During Twitter Debut

By Gary Trock

OJ Simpson is officially on Twitter ... and officially super creepy.

The former NFL star joined the social media platform right after the 25th Anniversary of the double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

"Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly," Simpson began his video introduction.

He asked people to follow his twitter account, @TheRealOJ32, and warned people against following imposter accounts.

In what could be considered a spine-chilling threat, Simpson then smiled at the camera and exclaimed, "This should be a lot of fun," adding, "I got a little getting even to do."

It's unclear exactly what the formerly incarcerated superstar has up his sleeve, but his attorney, Malcolm LaVergne told CNN, "Mr. Simpson is the most positive person I've ever met."

He added, "He's also very well informed on current events. He will not be negative. Nor will he comment on the LA thing. It will be one of the best accounts on Twitter to follow."

The cringe "LA thing" is indeed the double murder and eventual trial, where Simpson was acquitted on criminal charges.

He was later found guilty in a civil case and the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson were awarded millions in punitive damages.

Interestingly enough, OJ Simpson is not the only one making headlines recently, as his TV counterpart, Cuba Gooding Jr. was just arrested in NYC.

The actor who starred in 2016's "The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story," was charged with one count of sexual abuse in the third degree and one count of misdemeanor forcible touching after a woman claims she was groped by the star in a Manhattan bar.

He surrendered to police and was released shortly after, and denies all the allegations of wrongdoing made against him.
