Neil Strauss wrote the book on picking up women and now he'll get to use his skills once again.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Strauss filed for divorce on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Strauss and his wife, model Ingrid De La O, had been married since August 2013.

Strauss was a writer for Rolling Stone and The New York Times before writing "The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists" in 2005. The book was on the New York Times bestsellers list for a month and reached the top spot on Amazon.

The book was about Strauss' journey into the world of pickup artists and the development of his pseudonym, "Style."

Neil Strauss also co-wrote the autobiographies of Jenna Jameson, Marilyn Manson and Mötley Crüe.
