Miley Cyrus Lost All Her Original Song Writings in Malibu Fire

By TheBlast Staff

Miley Cyrus lost more than her home in the recent wildfires, because she revealed that all her entire songbook of original music perished as well.

The "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer appeared Wednesday morning on the Howard Stern Show to promote her new album, along with a Christmas duet she recorded with news anchor Robin Quivers.

Among the myriad of topics Cyrus covered, she revealed that the Woolsey wildfire that ripped through Ventura and Malibu destroyed all the lyrics she wrote for her hit songs, including "Malibu."

Cyrus was not home at the time of the fires, and praises Liam Hemsworth for getting all her animals out, but admitted he saved his own camera and laptop rather than her notebook. She also lost a ton of photographs, but said the digital copies were still available.

Another interesting revelation was Cyrus backing off her long rumored engagement with Hemsworth after Stern inquired whether he was her fiancé. The singer says he's definitely her boyfriend, but more of a "survival partner" than a fiancé. However, she doesn't back down about how much she loves the Australian actor, especially after all he did for her during the fires.

In fact, she explained that Hemsworth got some major action, especially on Facetime, to thank him for his efforts.

Since the fires, Cyrus donated $500,000 to help displaced families during the holidays, and stressed that not just celebrities lost their homes in the blaze.

Finally, she confirmed that she will appear in an upcoming episode of "Black Mirror," and said it's the best work she's ever done.
