Heaven gained one more angel. Miley Cyrus' beloved grandma "Mammie" has died. The "Mother's Daughter" singer delivered the devastating news in a tear-jerking tribute on social media over the weekend. Taking to her Instagram, Miley Cyrus posted several photos and videos with her "Mammie," whose real name was Loretta Finley, but it was her sentimental word flow that triggered the waterworks of her fans.
Loretta is the singer's mom Tish Cyrus' mother. She was reportedly 85 years old at the time of her death.
Miley often shared the spotlight with her "Mammie," taking her to red carpet events and even on the set of "The Voice." Miley Cyrus also got her grandmother tattooed on her arm. Revealing the stunning black and white portrait of "Mammie" during her prime, the "Midnight Sky" singer has been proudly sporting the ink since 2013. Revealing Loretta's death on Saturday, August 22, Miley Cyrus wrote, "Even though you are gone.... NOTHING has or ever will change."
"You will FOREVER be my inspiration and fashion icon. Even more than that the ultimate model of being a true LIGHT in a dark world. You are sunshine," the former "Hannah Montana" star added.

Ending her heartfelt tribute, Miley Cyrus said, "With an infinite amount of the same gentle kindness you displayed daily. We will ache everyday [sic] you are not with us."
