Michael Strahan, a former New York Giants football player turned ABC co-host for "Good Morning America," is living a pretty sweet life in New York City, which happens to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic.

As Distractify writes, Strahan lives on the Upper West Side. He says he loves where he's at and loves to post pictures of his apartment on Instagram.

"I like the Upper West Side, because, being a father, I like the family feel to it. You see mothers with strollers, people walking their dogs."

"One thing I love about the neighborhood, when you go into places, it’s not like, MICHAEL! I’m another person who’s just there," he recently told the "Times."

The former Giants player may have a spacious place to lay low during the pandemic, and so do his cars. According to Distractify, he has his vehicles and other memorabilia in a storage facility across the Hudson.

"I have a warehouse in Hackensack, NJ, where I keep my cars, and it’s the only place where I store memorabilia. I don’t like having that stuff in the house. Feels like I’m living in the past, when you’ve got to keep moving forward," he told the "Times."

On April 11, Strahan posted a nearly 10-minute Instagram video from his somewhat spacious kitchen (It's pretty spacious for an apartment in NYC, anyway,) as he prepared lobster mac and cheese, which sounds very gourmet.

During his culinary tutorial, Strahan hash tagged himself.

Whether you like Strahan or not, it's obvious he's trying to put a positive spin on what is a tough situation for many around the world.

"Make sure you check (the oven)... because they fluctuate," he told followers about the mac and cheese.

He popped that in the oven, then went on to some other special meals. He also made some sliders, which were mixed with steak and brisket, then added French onion soup mix, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce to that.

Later on in the video, he takes out his nicely browned mac and cheese, as his dog Enzo joined the video. Enzo's smart -- he knows who has the goods.

While the mac and cheese cooled, Strahan went to his barbecue, which appears to be under a stairway, and got the sliders on the grill.

"I have a little backyard, open the doors, sit out there and have breakfast or just let the sunlight and the warmth come in," he says.

Happy cooking, Michael!
