Magic Johnson Shares Sweet Post For Son EJ’s 28th Birthday: ‘Let Your Light Shine!’

Magic Johnson hopes his son, EJ gets a little magic of his own on his special day!

The NBA legend shared an awesome picture of EJ and himself to mark his 28th birthday. The photo appears to be from their annual family yacht trip to the Mediterranean and featured the two star’s infectious smiles. Magic was dressed casually in basketball shorts and a green shirt, while EJ opted for something a little more flashy for the photo op. He wore a chic top tied at his waist and a fancy pair of ripped black jeans.

Magic couldn't be prouder of his son and encouraged him to keep being himself.

"Happy birthday to my amazing son EJ! I love how you touch the world. Continue to let your light shine! I love you!,” EJ’s proud papa wrote.

EJ quickly responded and wrote, "Love you dad ???," while his sister, Elisa Johnson left ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ heart emojis on the special post.

Magic’s famous buddy, Anthony Anderson joined in on the fun and commented, “Happy birthday EJ!.”

Elisa shared a heartfelt message to EJ that she posted to her Instagram story. Her tribute featured a cool collage of two pictures, one that showed off EJ's flawless makeup and the other where the two siblings posed together.

"Happy Birthday to my gorgeous brother!!!" she exclaimed. "I have always admired Your unapologetic confidence and fearless spirit! You are truly ONE of a kind. An ICON to be exact."

"I love you with all my heart and I'm so blessed to be your annoying little sister," she jokingly concluded.

Johnson has never been shy about shouting his love for his kids from the Instagram mountain top and he often shows affection online. Recently, Elisa debuted her new Bob hairstyle that she did herself on social media. Her hair looked fantastic and Magic weighed in on the new look.

"My beautiful daughter Elisa looks great with her new haircut ?," he wrote on Instagram.

Elisa seemed to appreciate the love and commented, "Thank you daddy ❤️❤️❤️."

Like most of the sports world, Magic was captivated by the ESPN documentary, "The Last Dance" but while most people were looked back and remembered their perspective as a fan, Magic reminisced about the actual events because he was there. One of the most interesting parts of the documentary was when all the NBA greats at the time gathered at the Warner Bros. Studio Lot to play pickup games with Michael Jordan while he was filming "Space Jam." Johnson shared a picture from one of those games and looked back with fond memories.
