By Whitney Vasquez

Mac Miller's mom is pleading with the late rapper's famous friends to not interview with an author who's writing a biography about her son.

Karen Meyers shared the emotional plea on social media Thursday evening, stating the book is "not authorized" by the family or the "Self Care" rapper's estate.

The Plea:

"To artists, management & friends: there is a writer doing a Mac Miller biography that some of you have been approached about or will be," she began her message.

"This book is not authorized/approved by Mac's family or Estate," Karen continued.

Stating Mac's family is "not participating" in the biography, she adds they "prefer you don't either if you personally knew Malcolm."

Mac's Death:

Mac Miller died of a drug overdose on September 7, 2018. He was only 26 years old.

There have been two arrests in connection to his death because the pills he had ingested were laced with Fentanyl.

Just last month, a second person was arrested following a raid at a home in Lake Havasu where police found "a physician’s prescription pad, prescription-only pills, a usable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia."

They also found "a 9mm pistol, two shotguns, a personally manufactured firearm suppressor, and large amounts of ammunition."

Investigators were also able to track down the person allegedly responsible for giving Mac -- real name Malcolm McCormick -- the drugs that led to his overdose.

That alleged dealer was indicted in Los Angeles, and based on information gathered during the investigation, officers were led to the Havasu home.
