“Love & Hip Hop” star Erica Mena is continuing to push her controversial anti-vaccination beliefs despite being ripped by fans online.
Mena reposted a video from a group named Vaccine Truth. The video seems to push some theories about vaccines. She even linked to the social media page for the group. The reality star also a photo showing a wolf pack and describing how the leaders are actually in the back.
Mena is expecting a baby girl with her new husband Safaree Samuels. She has been catching heat from people online after revealing her controversial decision to not vaccinate the child.
She posted a screenshot of a text conversation with her 11-year-old son King Conde. Her son starts the conversation by asking Mena to rethink her decision on not vaccinating his soon to arrive sister.
King text, “just admit youre wrong and give up” and Mena responded, “Don’t talk to your mother like this is disrespectful and not gonna be tolerated.”
He responded, “oh, I’m sorry for wanting my baby sister to live as healthy as possible. While youre convinced ignoring what right for her is fine? Im sorry for possibly being disrespectful but im only being that way because im passionate about this. I love you.”
She ended by saying, “Look at you being a great big brother. I can’t for her to get here so you can defend her with all your might.” She wrote about the text conversation, “My son King is not letting up on his reasons why we should vaccinate the baby.”
People online quick to respond to her anti-vaccination bombshell. One wrote, “I vaccinate my child? Why? Because I don't want my kid to die, or contract mumps and never have the option of having children of his own. Vaccines are not the cause of autism. That myth was debunked years ago, but people trying to find reasons to not vaccinate their kids have brought it back like there's truth to it. But whatever you believe, I think the question should be this? Would I rather have a child who's alive, and who might have autism, or would I rather be the parent to a child who died from an infection disease that could've been prevented?”
“PW I hear it is the whooping cough that has made an astounding comeback along with the measles because of the anti-vaccine crowd”, said another fan.
”It’s 2019 and we have people openly choosing to deny their children one of the greatest achievements in mankind. Smh. So many words come to mind: sad, pathetic, and scary.” Another had this to say, “How sad is it that your 11 year old has more sense then you do? I mean what did we all expect from her, she is an attention seeking female, what else are we supposed to take away from this?”, read another.
Earlier this month, Samuels and Mena reportedly tied the knot in front of reality show cameras. Samuels is famous for dating Nicki Minaj on and off for 12 years and then going on to star on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.”
