The network behind “Married at First Sight” is set to premiere a high stakes wedding makeover show “Happily Ever Altered” this week.
The new reality show, co-produced by the people behind We TV’s “Mama June: From Not To Hot”, premieres this Wednesday at 10 P.M. ET/PT.
The one-hour premiere follows a bride and groom-to-be who are set to undergo major physical transformations right before their wedding.
The release reads, “The catch is that they are completely separated from one another, from the start of their transformational surgeries, all the way through their physical and emotional healing, and up to their wedding day where they’ll reveal their new look to each other right before the ceremony!”
In the first episode, the show follows Alexa and Matt who are set to get married. Alexa decided she doesn’t want to walk down the aisle weighing over 300 pounds.
The cameras follow as Matt receives full liposuction across his stomach and sides, replaces a missing tooth, and has his teeth whitened. Alexa has procedures that gets rid of the loose skin under her arms, liposuction, breast lift and implants, tummy tuck and new veneers.
The Blast obtained exclusive clips from the show which shows Matt and Alexa struggling on the day before they are set to go under the knife. Alexa gets emotional while talking to Matt about her fears. She confesses she is trying to keep it together in front of her daughters.
In another confessional, Matt admits being scared that Alexa will be too hot and might not want him. The drama unfolds this Wednesday on Lifetime.
