Les Moonves does not view his departure from CBS the way the rest of the world does.
The disgraced former TV exec ventured out for dinner in Beverly Hills on Thursday night with his wife, Julie Chen Moonves. Despite the horrific allegations against him, Moonves received quite a warm welcome from the slew of photogs camped outside Madeo to shoot the couple when they exited.
One photog suggested Moonves is due for a comeback and he should either go to another network or start his own. Moonves laughed and replied, "I'm retired."
Another photog suggested he needed a gig because "we need" Julie back on TV (she left "The Talk" after the allegations against her husband came to light) to which Moonves said, "You're absolutely right."
Les Moonves stepped down as chairman and CEO of CBS after a dozen women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct. He announced his departure at the time by saying, "I am deeply saddened to be leaving the company. I wish nothing but the best for the organization, the newly comprised board of directors and all of its employees."
