Lea Michele broke her silence on social media to address her former "Glee" star Naya Rivera's death but that wasn't good enough for fans who wondered where she was during the vigil with the cast. The 33-year-old's body was found on Monday, July 13, five days after she went missing after disappearing into the water while in Lake Piru with her four-year-old son. Lea Michele, who is pregnant with her first child, remained silent during the intense search and rescue and even deactivated her Twitter following backlash.

When the "Glee" cast showed up to the Southern California lake after Naya Rivera's body was found to hold a vigil for their fallen castmate, fans quickly pointed out that Lea Michele was nowhere to be found.
In the ariel shot, caught by ABC News 7, Heather Morris*, Amber Riley**, and more of the cast were seen holding hands at the edge of the water. According to reports, they were also shouting "Naya" in honor of the star.

While many people bowed down to the "Glee" cast for their commitment and love, others took the opportunity to slam Lea Michele for her absence. It was just days ago that she deleted her Twitter after fans shaded her for remaining silent while authorities scoured the lake searching for Naya Rivera's body.
"Where's Lea?" one person questioned on Twitter after someone shared the photo. "She's the witch that cursed the cast," another person replied, which caused a huge debate in the comment section.
This photo of the cast of #Glee gathering together at Lake Piru today where #NayaRivera’s body was found is incredibly powerful — especially when you consider today is the 7 year anniversary of Cory Monteith’s death. I’m a mess. pic.twitter.com/RhY9hUb78E

Naya Rivera's death marks the third "Glee" cast member to lose their life. In an eerie coincidence, her body was found on the seventh anniversary of Cory Monteith's death. He overdosed in 2013. Mark Salling took his life in 2018.
"That curse isn't real. Stop saying that," a Twitter user fired off. "She's [Lea] pregnant AF. That's where she is," answered another person. When a third user accused Lea Michele of "prob busy trafficking kids," another fan replied, "or probably pregnant trying not to get herself sick for the wellbeing of her baby."
As The Blast reported, Lea Michele broke her silence on Naya Rivera's death by sharing a black and white photo of her star on her Instagram Story. Not before she paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend Cory Monteith though.
