The "A Star Is Born" actress (and her new Oscar) sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night where the host asked point blank if there's something more than friendship between the two.
Laughing off the rumors, a freshly-single Gaga said their connection during this year's Oscar performance was just for show.
“Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see,” she told Kimmel.
“[Shallow] is a love song, 'A Star Is Born' is a love story,” Lady Gaga continued. “It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time … When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel."
She added, "I’m an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job… fooled ya!”
The Internet has been exploding with romance rumors since the two made their rounds promoting the movie last year. But speculation reached a fever pitch after everyone witnessed the undeniable chemistry between the co-stars during their live Oscar performance of "Shallow."
Looks like Irina Shayk can rest easy tonight.
