Kristen Stewart Says She Didn't Have Sex With 'Snow White' Director Rupert Sanders

By Gary Trock

Kristen Stewart is speaking out about the backlash she faced after a romantic tryst with her director from back in the day, and now she's making it clear it wasn't as steamy as everyone thought.

Stewart appeared Tuesday morning on "The Howard Stern Show" on SiriusXM and was asked about her 2012 affair with director Rupert Sanders.

Stewart, who was dating Robert Pattinson at the time, had developed a relationship with Sanders while she starred in "Snow White and the Huntsman," which Sanders was directing. To make things even more complicated, Sanders' wife at the time, Liberty Ross, co-starred in the flick.

After they were photographed during a heavy makeout session, she split with her former "Twilight" co-star and Sanders went through a divorce with Ross.

During Tuesday's radio show, Stern asked Stewart about the drama surrounding the incident.

"We lived in a different time then, the slut-shaming that went down was so absurd," she explained.

Stewart's main gripe is that she was denied a role in the 2016 sequel "The Huntsman: Winter's War," and chalks it up to the public affair.

"They didn't put me in that movie because I went through such a highly publicized scandal, they were scared of touching that."

Stern commented that it was a "dumb move" by the studio to exclude her, and Stewart agreed.

Stewart took so much heat over the tryst with Sanders, that even Donald Trump called her a "dog" on Twitter.

She explained what went down with Sanders, and how she felt it shouldn't have overshadowed her role in the film.

"I wouldn't say I fell in love with the director, it was kind of a weird thing ... but I definitely think that it wasn't that big of a deal, and the work is so much more important."

"I thought that [Snow White] we could have made a great second one and could have done it in a functional way, we didn't do that and it was ok because I did other stuff."

While speaking on the studio's decision to cut her from the sequel, Kristen explained: "the work was ignored in a silly petty way, for a group of adult people who are supposed to be making films ... the film industry is so fear-based."

"They're idiots, take a little risk and make something good people will watch it and pay you."

Stewart also clarified how far the relationship actually got, claiming the two never slept together.

"I did not f--k him. This is the most candid interview ... no I didn't f--k him."

When Stern asked why she never admitted that they never slept together, Stewart claimed, "Well, who's going to believe me?

She elaborated, "It looked like, you make out with a dude in public it looks like you did [have sex.]

Stewart also admitted, "It wasn't innocent, that was a really hard period of my life ... I was really young."

Stern asked about dating her former "Twilight" co-star, and Stewart responded, "I didn't know how to deal with it ... I made some mistakes." She also said, "honestly, it's no one's business."

After the revelations, Stewart apologized to her longtime poublicst, Ruth Bernstein, and told her, "You put me on here ... you put me on Howard Stern, what did you think was gonna happen?!"

During her lengthy interview, Stewart also spoke about her upcoming role in "Charlie's Angels," as well as her current relationship with girlfriend Dylan Meyer.

Stewart gushed about her girlfriend, who is a screenwriter, and even admitted she is seriously planning on proposing to Meyer in the near future.
