Kelly Clarkson Talks To Reba McEntire About Marrying The Singer's Son

Kelly Clarkson brought out her mother-in-law, Reba McEntire, as a guest on her talk show and discussed marrying her son.
Clarkson is married to Brandon Blackstock, one of Reba’s sons. During the sit-down, Clarkson says, “It’s so weird. Because you know when you're friends and family with someone, and you have them on your show, it’s awkward. I ended up marrying her oldest son and you got stuck with me more.”
Reba responded, “thank goodness.”

Clarkson told her mother-in-law, “out of all the fun we’ve had. I always have my little moments with you. because I know we’re friends and family but you’re always like that hero to me, especially musically.
She said, “Like you’re just a beast, a pioneer for women, it’s insane.”

Clarkson added, “Not just musically … You’re a businesswoman, you’ve conquered Broadway, you’ve conquered TV, you’ve conquered movies, animated films … you’ve done everything you could possibly want to do.”
She asked what is the “next mountain” for Reba. The singer revealed a desire to do an “authentic” western movie or television show.

Reba became Brandon’s stepmom after marrying his father, Narvel Blackstock. Reba and Narvel divorced in 2015.
Kelly and Brandon married in 2013 and share two kids, River and Remington Blackstock.
During the episode, Clarkson also belted out a cover to Reba’s hit “Why Haven’t I Heard From You.”

The singer brought out Dr. Pimple Popper to do a live procedure on one of her audience members.
Clarkson’s talk show launched this month to huge numbers
Deadline reported the show had the highest debut rating for any syndicated show in seven years. The premiere episode had a 1.9 household rating. The debut was on par with the premiere of Katie Couric’s talk show in 2012.
Sources close to production tell The Blast that everyone is very excited for Kelly and she has been a joy to work with.
Clarkson show has snagged A-list guests like Steve Carrell, The Rock, Celine Dion, John Legend and Jennifer Garner. She recently had an “American Idol” reunion with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.
