Rep. Katie Hill Fights Ex Over Spousal Support, Denies Three-Way Relationship

By Gary Trock

Congresswoman Katie Hill is fighting her estranged husband on two fronts, and now she is trying to avoid paying him any spousal support while denying his claims that she engaged in a romantic rendezvous with a female staffer.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, 32-year-old Hill wants to block her ex, Kenny Heslep, from collecting spousal support in their ongoing divorce.

As we previously reported, Heslep stated he has been unable to hold a job for the past 5 years, and that he only has around $200 in his checking account.

He claimed Hill has an "extremely high earning potential" as a congresswoman, while he only "has a high school diploma and has been a stay-at-home househusband" throughout the former couple's relationship.

The U.S. Representative from Santa Clarita, CA is also disputing the date of separation with her ex.

In his initial filing, Heslep claims they split on July 5, 2019 but Hill is stating she believes the date of separation was June 7, 2019.

Along with battling Heslep in court, she is also faced with a PR nightmare after an article claimed she was in a "throuple" relationship with her husband and another woman.

According to the conservative blog, the third woman was an unnamed staffer on Hill's congressional campaign, and accused the three of taking multiple romantic vacations together.

A nude photo of Hill, who is openly bisexual, with another woman was also leaked and posted to the blog, as well as accusations that the congresswoman engaged in a separate extramarital affair with her former campaign-finance director, Graham Kelly.

On Tuesday, the Democratic politician released a statement denying the three-way relationship and stating she had notified law enforcement about the nude photo.

"Intimate photos of me and another individual were published by Republican operatives on the internet without my consent," Hill said.

She continued, "I have notified Capitol Hill police who are investigating the situation and potential legal violations of those who posted and distributed the photos, and therefore will have no further comment on the digital materials."

In regards to the entire attack on her personal life, Hill said:

"I am disgusted that my opponents would seek to exploit such a private matter for political gain. This coordinated effort to try to destroy me and people close to me is despicable and will not succeed. I, like many women who have faced attacks like this before, am stronger than those who want me to be afraid."

She claimed the allegations about an affair with Kelly were absolutely "false," and then addressed her divorce and "vindictive" ex.

"I am saddened that the deeply personal matter of my divorce has been brought into public view and the vindictive claims of my ex have now involved the lives and reputations of unrelated parties."
