Julianne Hough is seemingly responding to rumors there are issues in her marriage to Brook Laich after he talked divorce on his most recent podcast amid speculation the two are experiencing relationship woes. Her former NHL star husband fueled the fire after he brought one of the most sought-after Hollywood divorce attorney’s onto his podcast. As The Blast reported, Brook Laich invited Laura Wasser on his podcast with Gavin DeGraw called “How Men Think” earlier this week to talk about the hardships of marriage and divorce.
In January, rumors swirled that Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich were “having problems” and their marriage was in trouble. A source told Us Weekly at the time, “They definitely have been going through a rough patch. They have both been in different places for work so they haven’t been able to spend as much time together this past few months.” Brooks Laich didn’t help those rumors when he discussed “exploring his sexuality” after Julianne Hough removed her wedding ring. Despite the speculation, his Podcast co-star recently told the outlet the duo, who married in 2017, “seems healthy and fine.”
On his podcast with Laura Wasser as a guest, Brook Laich didn’t hold back and openly discussed the challenges of marriage and growing apart in the partnership. “I’m going to change in the course of my life. My wife is going to change in the course of her life. But also, I think people over time can develop some sort of indifference when once there was an attraction,” he stated. Elaborating on what he meant by “indifference,” Brooks Laich continued, “They can just develop an indifference, and it’s not staying connected enough to continue to learn and grow and accept your changes, accept their changes and also challenge each other.”
He also discussed the importance of communication in a marriage and seemed pretty educated on the whole divorce topic when he reminded listeners that “there’s so many resources out there — seminars, all kinds of things, books.” Now, his wife of two years is hitting back and seems to be addressing her mental state after the rumored fall-out. Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday morning, Julianne Hough posted a black and white clip from an old movie and shared a very telling quote. “But your heart,” she wrote and followed it up with the response “My heart is every bit as good as it ever was.”
