'Queer Eye' Star Jonathan Van Ness Adopts Two Kittens After His Cat Falls From a Window

By Chad Weiser

Jonathan Van Ness has added two more kittens to his household.

The "Queer Eye" star recently showed off two new kittens, Genevieve and Matilda, on Instagram over the weekend. In the video post, Van Ness is seen cuddling the kittens while wearing a black “Kitten Lady” sweatshirt.

Van Ness adopted both of the baby cats from the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Fishtown Center.

This comes just days after JVN’s cat, Bug the 2nd, died after falling from an open window last week.

“I’m hurting so bad today I can’t put it into words, for anyone else experiencing grief & loss, I’m with you,” he said at the time.

He added in the same post, “Not sure how I’m going to make this loss mean something more but in the meantime, please make a donation to an animal shelter near you.”

Van Ness, 32, adopted Bug the 2nd last August after the death of his 13-year-old cat Bug. He adopted another cat, Liza, a month later.

“Getting two gorgeous kittens in that full grown cat shaped hole in my heart is helping my reparative process immensely,” he had said.

“We were saddened to learn early this week that @queereye’s @jvn beloved cat, Bug passed away,” the Pennsylvania SPCA wrote in an Instagram caption. “But, much to our surprise, JVN stopped into our PSPCA Fishtown Center to adopt not one, but two kittens who were in need of #furever families. While no one can ever replace Bug, we know these two bundles of love will certainly help on the way to healing.”
