His longtime former partner, Vanessa Paradis proved to be a powerful ally for the star. Johnny Depp and the model share two children together -- 20-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, and 17-year-old son, John Christopher Depp III. Vanessa Pardis said she’s willing to appear and testify on Depp’s behalf if called as a witness in court.
"I have known Johnny Depp for more than 25 years. We’ve been partners for 14 years and we raised our two children together," she went on record saying. "Through all these years I’ve known Johnny to be a kind, attentive, generous, and non-violent person and father.” She went on to say she's aware of Amber Heard's allegations of domestic violence but called her accusations "false facts." Vanessa Paradis continued, "This is nothing like the true Johnny I have known, and from my personal experience of many years, I can say he was never violent or abusive to me." She went on to explain, "I have seen that these outrageous statements have been really distressing, and also caused damage to his career because, unfortunately, people have gone on believing these false facts."
Several other famous friends, actresses, and ex-partners have come to Johnny's defense including Winona Ryder and Penelope Cruz. Their declarations could become extremely important as the two stars continue to head towards a trial in Virginia.
