The trailer seems to span decades, including the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the heyday of Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa.
The Irishman is based off the 2003 book “I Heard You Paint Houses” by Charles Brandt.
The movie swirls around on the Bufalino crime family and Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, one of the family’s hit men and a labor union leader.
Sheeran has been linked with Hoffa’s disappearance — Hoffa disappeared in July 1975.
VFX techniques are being used for The Irishman which literally takes decades off the faces of De Niro, Pacino and Pesci, who are all in their mid to late 70s.

Anna Paquin, Ray Romano, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale and others play supporting roles.
Pesci and De Niro appear to de-age for scenes in which their character is much younger. VFX, makeup, and the work of Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic is playing a role in keeping everyone youthful.
The Irishman will be coming soon to Netflix.
