Disney has faced some backlash from people who think all mermaids should be white.
Thankfully, the good people of the world have supplied us with beautiful artwork to support the announcement of the new Ariel.
The new Ariel fan artwork has been created from all skill levels and aesthetics.
This painting from @NicoMyrna_ includes the text “U Mad?”, possibly referencing some people’s displeasure with a non-white Ariel.
