Xoxo! Leighton Meester and her husband, Adam Brody, are reportedly expecting their second child. The “Gossip Girl” alumni was photographed sporting what appears to be a huge baby bump while taking a walk around her Los Angeles neighborhood earlier this week. The actress and her “OC” star hubby were spotted taking a stroll while pushing their four-year-old daughter, Arlo Day Brody, in a stroller. Daily Mail was the first outlet to post the photos of Leighton Meester. She has yet to confirm or deny the pregnancy news, but it appears from the pictures, her secret is already out there.
In the photos, the “Single Parents” actress kept it casual wearing loose-fitting black overalls with her belly clearly visible through the fabric. This is the first time that Leighton Meester has been photographed since January. She wore no makeup and tried to shield her eyes from the sun with shades, but it was hard to focus on anything but her growing bump. Adam Brody sported a laid-back look also. Wearing salmon-colored jeans, a long-sleeved navy shirt, and a baseball cap, he did all the hard work by pushing their daughter in the stroller.
The couple walked down the aisle and secretly said “I do” in 2014 just one year after getting engaged. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody met on the set of “The Oranges” and “were always close and friendly.” The “Gossip Girl” actress gave birth to daughter Arlo in 2015 and recently spoke out about their mother/daughter relationship. “I don’t talk about Arlo very much. I am very proud of that area of my life. But I’m also really proud of the show and the work I do,” she told Refinery29. “I think the perception is: You’re an ingenue or you’re an icon or you’re a mum. There’s no in-between.”
Leighton Meester skyrocketed to fame in 2007 as the bratty and rich “It girl” Blair Waldorf on “Gossip Girl.” The show catapulted the careers of several actors including Blake Lively, who played Serena van der Woodsen, Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey, Ed Westwick, who starred as Chuck Bass, and Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald. The popular series lasted 6 seasons before ending in 2012. Fans were ecstatic to hear a reboot is in the works, although it will star a brand new cast. It’s unclear if any of the “Gossip Girl” OGs will be take part in the reboot.
