Kit Harington has now joined the MCU fold for the Jack Kirby-fueled The Eternals, which will be directed by Chloe Zhao.

Cast members recently took the stage at the D23 Expo for fans to get a first look.

Besides Harington, the cast for The Eternals includes such A-listers as Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and Richard Madden, who starred alongside Harington in "Game of Thrones." Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee round out the cast.

We even know a little bit about who's playing who:

Jolie will be Thena, Hayek will be Ajax, Lee is Gilgamesh, McHugh plays Sprite, Nanjiani is Kingo, Henry will be Phastos, Ridloff is Macary, and Madden plays Ikaris.

The Eternals are superhuman beings that were made by Celestials millions of years ago. Their job is to keep Earth safe from The Deviants.

Bringing the Legends To Life

"There's this notion of all of these myths and legends that we know from ancient times, were they inspired by the Eternals? Were they Eternals? It's a very ... you know, it's an ancient aliens kind of sci-fi trope that we think would be fun to explore someday," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feig.

Story As Old As Time

Details for the movie are few and far between, though Feig has said he's fond of a storyline that takes place over millions of years:

"One of the cool things about that property and what Jack Kirby did with it and what's been done with it in recent years is, it does tie into they're called Eternals. They've been around for a long time. You know?”
