By Mike Walters

Lisa Marie Presley has rushed to court trying to convince a judge to allow her two young children the opportunity to attend their grandfather Elvis Presley's 85th birthday celebration.

Presley has been at WAR with her ex-husband in an ongoing nasty custody battle. We're told Lisa Marie filed emergency documents in the case, asking the Los Angeles County Court judge to allow her two young children to travel to Memphis, Tennesse to attend the Elvis Presley birthday event.

The Birthday Celebration!

As you know, Graceland is in Memphis and it is hosting a massive event where fans from all over will come pay tribute to the King.

Lisa Marie's legal team from Brot Gross Fishbein appeared in an LA Courtroom today, to argue Elvis's grandkids should be allowed to attend the festivities. LM's attorney Mark Gross appeared in court to argue for the trip, the problem is...LM's ex-husband Michael Lockwood would not allow for the travel.

According to the standing order in the case, the children can not travel out of state without the consent of the other parent, or approval from the court.

Kids Can't Attend The Party...

Today, the judge denied the ex-parte in the case, because it didn't rise to the level of an "emergency." We're told, obviously, this is very upsetting to Lisa Marie because she feels her kids should be able to experience something like their grandfather's birthday party.

According to Graceland's website, the event will be a "milestone as we celebrate Elvis’ 85th Birthday! Enjoy four days of birthday festivities, plus special guests Priscilla Presley and Jerry Schilling. Events this year include our annual Elvis Birthday Proclamation Ceremony on January 8, and an Elvis Birthday Bash."

Custody Battle Heating Up...

The website says the party will include, "private tours of Graceland Mansion with Priscilla Presley, a Birthday Celebration Concert featuring Terry Mike Jeffrey and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, fan-favorite concert Elvis: Live in Concert featuring The TCB Band, and much more! A Birthday Celebration not-to-be-missed!"

As we reported, Lisa Marie Presley has been at war with her ex-husband over custody of the ex-couples children. The former couple is set to go to trial on July 20, 2020, and an entire month has been blocked out by the court for the battle. A ton will be at stake here including custody, visitation, and child support amounts.

Custody Trial Going To Be Nasty

This custody battle has been nasty including Presley accusing Lockwood of being "inappropriate" with their daughters. Presley claimed she found "disturbing photos" of their twin daughters on Lockwood's computer.

As we reported, Elvis's daughter has also been fighting a second legal war over the Elvis Presley fortune. LM sued her business manager claiming he was responsible for losing millions of dollars.
