According to Sherk's death certificate, she was cremated on May 1 and her body was sent to a home the couple shared Niagara-On-The-Lake, a town in southern Ontario.
The death certificate also confirms her causes of death are listed as anoxic encephalopathy, asphyxia, and drowning. It also notes that Sherk had a history of depression.
As The Blast first reported, Bichir discovered his wife on April 12 after she had intentionally weighed her body down to keep herself at the bottom of the family's swimming pool.
Bichir and another family member immediately called paramedics, and when emergency responders arrived, they were able to successfully resuscitate Sherk and transported her to a local hospital.
She spent the next eight days in the hospital before passing away on April 20. Her death was officially ruled a suicide a few days later.
