Demi Lovato Mourns The Death Of Her Grandfather -- 'I'm Sorry We Didn't Take More Pictures Together'

Demi Lovato announced on Instagram that her grandpa, Perry, died this morning after fighting failing health for several years.

The 27-year-old singer shared several photographs of her grandfather along with a heartbreaking caption apologizing for not have taken more photos with Perry while he was still alive.

"Woke up to the news that my Grandpa Perry passed away early this morning," she began.

Demi continued, "He’s been sick for a couple of years now so although I’m relieved he is out of pain, it still hurts to think our family won’t get to say goodbye with a proper funeral for a while. But that’s the reality during this pandemic."

"This man loved God FIERCELY and was one of the best preachers I’ve ever had the honor in witnessing spread the word of God." she posted on IG.

Adding, "I love you, Grandpa."

Demi included several photos of Grandpa Perry, but only one of the two of them together. "I’m sorry we didn’t take more pictures together but I have so many memories to make me smile until we meet again someday," she wrote.

The 'Sorry, Not Sorry' singer ended her post with, 'Rest easy. Love you. ❤️🕊🙏🏼"

Demi Lovato's mother commented on her post reminding her daughter that the memories with him are better than any pictures could capture.

The 57-year-old shared a post about the loss of her father on Instagram as well, writing, "Sure am gonna miss you, Chief."

She continued, "I’m broken-hearted but happy that you’re no longer suffering here on earth. You were the best Daddy in the whole world. I’ll love you forever.💔" Demi commented on her mom's post, saying, "I love you momma.'

Demi's uploaded a touching photo of herself and Grandpa Perry to Instagram along with her message.
