It's really good to hear that Demi Lovato is on such healthy terms with her own self.

In an interview with Apple Music, Demi Lovato says she's "gender fluid," and is not sure whether she'll be with a man or a woman.

The interview comes just as she's set to perform at the 62nd Grammy Awards, another big comeback that fans have long awaited.

'What Makes Me Happy'

During the interview, Lovato spoke about family, friends, and love, what role they played in her future, and what's good for her.

“When I think about what makes me happy today, I think about my family. I think about my friends. I think about my team."

Lovato also says she wants to build upon “.....meaningful relationships .... And I don’t know what that looks like. I don’t even know if I see it with a man or a woman, but I just know that at some point I would love to do that this decade.”

Remember 'Cool For the Summer'?

It's not earth-shattering to hear that she's opening up about her sexuality.

Her 2015 hit song "Cool For the Summer" certainly had a bi-curious theme to it. Here's the first set of lyrics:

"Tell me what you want / What you like / It's okay / I'm a little curious too / Tell me if it's wrong / If it's right / I don't care / I can keep a secret can... you?"

Other lines, like "Got a taste for the cherry / I just need to take a bite," are a tad more overt.

You can certainly read into plenty of other lyrics in the song:

"Don't be scared 'cause I'm your body type Just something that we wanna try 'Cause you and I We're cool for the summer"

In March 2018, Lovato spoke further about her sexuality status with Billboard.

“I’m very fluid. I think love is love. You can find it in any gender. I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want.”

Hollywood Life does add that Lovato has dated plenty of guys, like Mike Johnson from "The Bachelorette," and also had a relationship with Austin Wilson.

Teen Vogue reports that Lovato doesn't want her gender-fluidity to take center stage in how people perceive her. She'd rather, obviously, let the music speak for itself.

“I feel like it's irrelevant to what my music is all about. I stand up for the things that I believe in and the things that I'm passionate about, but I like to keep my personal life as private as possible when it comes to dating and sexuality and all that stuff just because it has nothing to do with my music."

After the Grammys, we'll see even more of Lovato when she sings the national anthem at the upcoming Super Bowl.
