Patriots QB Cam Newton’s custody and support battle with his ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor is heating up.
According to court documents obtained by Bossip, Kia is back in court battling the NFL star in the lawsuit he brought against her. Last year, Cam sued Kia for paternity, child support, and custody of their kids following their nasty split.
In recent court documents, Kia believes the court should award her $15,000 a month in support of their four kids. A judge has yet to rule.
As The Blast previously reported, in his petition, Cam asked the court to determine the amount he paid in child support. He said he was already paying Kia monthly without a court order.
Kia fired back by filing a counter-suit against Cam for custody. She is asking the court for primary custody and wants child support above the normal guideline. She also asked the court to order Cam to pay her $15,000. Kia wanted the money to hire a forensic accountant to examine his finances.
The custody battle came after Cam reportedly welcomed a baby boy with Instagram model La Reina Shaw. The model is reportedly living in an apartment above Cam’s Atlanta restaurant. They both recently showed off their son Caesar on social media.
On Father’s Day, Cam wrote a sweet note to all the children he considers his own. It read, “I’m a proud father of 7. A daddy isn’t defined as the man who makes the child (not in all instances) but rather a man who extends his hands and time to help with the child’s raising and his heart to love the child through anything!!! Blood doesn’t always make you DADDY. Being a dad comes from the heart.” Anybody can make a baby but it takes a real man to raise a child. Kudos to all the real men worldwide!! Happy Father’s Day to us.”
