Britney Spears’ family members are fighting each other amid the singer’s attempt to gain more control of her life.
The source added, “Britney is remarkably resilient and is very engaged in the conservatorship, whereas in years prior, she wasn’t at all. She would never ask questions about it or go to court.”
The outlet says Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, sees the conservatorship differently than her ex-husband Jamie, who is in charge of his daughter’s decisions.
They claim, “Lynne wants a care plan established that would transition Britney’s personal life out of the conservatorship. Jamie has told her that Britney needs long-term monitoring, and he doesn’t think she is prepared to take such drastic action,” the source explains. “With the conservatorship being extended until the beginning of 2021, Jamie was relieved because all he wants is to keep Britney safe and at her best.”
Further, the singer is fighting for more time with her sons that she shares with Kevin Federline. The source said, “Britney wants to live her life on her terms and is very displeased with the current custody arrangement. She needs to see the boys much more than she currently is.”
Soon after, Britney fired back in court documents shutting down her father’s remarks. According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Britney is opposing her father Jamie’s attempt to seal parts of her conservatorship case and says she is done with keeping her “legal struggle hidden away in the closet as a family secret.”
In court documents, Britney specifically calls out a recent interview done by her father where he says the situation in “nobody’s business,” but the pop star says she now welcomes and “appreciates the informed support of her many fans.”
