Holiday Fun With Half the Fam

It's officially the holiday season, which means friends and family are getting bundled up and going on day trips to see relatives they may not have seen all year. If there are parents who are no longer together, they often have to make a few extra stops with the kids so that everyone gets a visit. Celebrities are just like us in that way, and Brad Pitt's holiday plans seem to be a mixed bag this year.

Pitt will only be spending the holiday season with three of his kids, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox. Those are his biological children.

A source told Us: “Brad’s planning on having the younger kids on Christmas Eve."

Apparently the other three kids, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, will be with their mom, Angelina Jolie, over the holidays. But as an inside source notes, Pitt says they're all welcome at his home anytime. The source adds that all of the kids will be at Jolie's house on Christmas Day.

Their Divorce Seems Neverending

Jolie and Pitt announced their divorce way back in 2016, but the proceedings are still not finalized. Apparently the financials and custody details are proving difficult to sort out.

Along with all that is a strained relationship between Pitt and his son, Maddox. There had been rumors of child abuse, but the actor was cleared from that suspicion.

Maddox and his dad haven't spoken for quite a while; Pitt's son is at a university in South Korea.

An insider notes: “Brad didn’t try to see Maddox. There’s been no contact between them.”

It could be that he just wants to give his son some space.

So Long To the Simpler Days

It sounds like he'll definitely have fun with the younger kids, Us writes, citing their source:

“He’s hoping they’ll want to spend the night, but he’s really just looking forward to Christmas Eve with them.”

Last December, Pitt and Jolie came to a custody agreement, where Pitt would be monitored by the Department of Children and Family Services. Those supervised visits ended, excluding overnight visits.

The visit is said to be an unmonitored one, which will be different from past years. Last Christmas Pitt celebrated the holiday, with someone watching, with Zahara, Shiloh, Konx and Vivienne.

The source from Us says: “Brad exchanged Christmas gifts with the kids on December 25 at his house. [He] has never spoiled the kids for their birthdays or holidays. It wasn’t over the top but low-key."

Pitt and Jolie were married for two years, but spent 10 years together.
