Barack Obama Drops Fire 'Hamilton' Track Just in Time for the Holidays

By TheBlast Staff

Move over Michael Buble, because another crooner has stepped in to stake a claim as the smoothest voice in December.

Former President Barack Obama dropped his new track, "One Last Time (44 Remix)," along with the help of Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Over the past year, Miranda has debuted a new Hamilton-themed song for every month. December's edition is capped off with Christopher Jackson and BeBe Winans singing a rendition of will.i.am's "Yes We Can."

"Yes We Can" was released back during Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, and #44 is featured doing a spoken word piece in the song. Obama recites lyrics from George Washington's 1796 farewell address, when he announced he would not seek a third term in office.

The "Hamilton" version was actually performed for the Obama family in 2016 by Miranda and Jackson before the end of his second term.
