Conan O'Brien's Sidekick Comedian Andy Richter Settles Divorce With Wife Of 27 Years

Comedian Andy Richter and his wife, Sarah Thyre, have settled their divorce case -- officially ending the couple's 27-year marriage.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Conan O'Brien's sidekick filed the settlement agreement in the couple's court case, officially ending their marriage.

It is unclear at this point how the couple split up their finances and any assets they have but it's clear they have both agreed on the outcome. The filing also marks the legal end of the marriage making both parties single.

As we reported, Andy filed for divorce from Sarah in August of last year, citing "irreconcilable differences" for the reasoning of their split.

The ex-couple announced their split on social media before filing for the divorce, with Andy tweeting, "It is with sadness that Sarah and I announce that we have separated and have begun divorce proceedings."

He added, "We are extremely proud of the life we've built together and shared with so many friends over the years, and even though our marriage has reached its completion we will always maintain a loving friendship and parenting partnership," they wrote. The amount of love and support that you all have shown is truly a gift and so so meaningful to me. I feel very loved. Thank you."

Sarah issued a statement as well, saying, "After careful consideration, @AndyRichter and I have decided to divorce. We’ve shared a wonderful 27+ years and have 2 fabulous kids whom we love and will continue to parent together. Thanks to our friends and family for their support. ♥️Looking forward to the next chapter..."

Richter and Thyre share two children together, 18-year-old son William and 12-year-old daughter Mercy. The couple was married back in 1996.

As you know, Andy is best known for his role as the sidekick on Conan O'Brien 's late-night talk show, 'Conan' on TBS. Sarah is also a successful actress, best known for her role as Coach Cherri Wolf on the television show "Strangers with Candy."
