Amy Schumer shared the results of her IVF round with her millions of fans while thanking them for supporting her through this process.

The comedienne previously announced that husband, Chris Fischer and she are after a sibling for their 9-month-old son, Gene Attell Fischer. Schumer has been very open and honest about the process and remained positive despite receiving some backlash online. On Friday, she gave the much-anticipated results of the process.

"Hey! So ivf went like this for us. They retrieved 35 eggs from me. Not bad for the old gal right?" Amy joked. "Then 26 fertilized! Whoah right? For all of those we got 1 normal embryo from that and 2 low level mosaic (mosaic means there are some abnormal cells but can still lead to a healthy baby) So we feel lucky we got 1! But what a drop off right?"

Why The Big Drop Off?

Many would say that retrieving 35 eggs and having 26 of the fertilized in one round is an excellent result. After that, the embryos are sent to be analyzed to see if they have the proper number of chromosomes or if there are any foreseeable problems. Amy stated that only one was "normal" which means it has the most likely chance of developing into a healthy baby.

To be clear, another round would produce different results and would be affected by various factors like age, sperm quality, and Amy's well-documented struggle with endometriosis.

Schumer made sure to thank her fans for supporting her through the process and assured them that discussing the topic helps.

"I have so appreciated everyone sharing their Ivf stories with me. They made me feel empowered and supported. So I wanted to tell you how mine went down," Schumer said.

"So many women go through many rounds of ivf which is painful and mentally grueling. I heard from hundreds of women about my their miscarriages and struggles and also many hopeful stories about how after rounds and rounds of ivf it worked!! It has been really encouraging. Thank you. Anyway I am so grateful for our son and that we have the resources to get help in this way. I just wanted to share and send love and strength to all of the warrior women who go through this process. 🎸💪🏾"
