Bear Brown was showing off one of his favorite hobbies while out in the brush, but some fans claim the reality star needs to brush up on his gun safety in order to avoid an accident.
The "Alaskan Bush People" star shared a video on Tuesday night of one of his favorite activities, shooting.
"I love shooting at night! Even without a target!" Bear wrote alongside a video of himself aiming at what appears to be a thick forest and firing off 7 rounds with a handgun.
Even though Bear appears to be in an isolated area, and the "Alaskan Bush People" star is familiar with firearms, many fans claimed he was exhibiting unsafe shooting practices that others may try to emulate.
"Not cool I love you guys but this is quite a thoughtless post vulnerable people might copy it’s not cool," one fan wrote.
A second person commented that, "I don't care how far out in the bush you are, stray bullets can carry a far distance. This is pretty reckless," while a third wrote, "Dumb stupid irresponsible and pick up your shells your meant to be all about the environment."
Another fan worried about animals that could have been injured and told Bear, "That is so stupid.. what if you hit something and have no clue that you did.. so you mame an animal and let it suffer.. really dumb."
Even though the majority of fans thought Bear should have used better judgment, a few defended the star and tried to rationalize his actions.
"Guys, he is extremely secluded. Y’all stop crying," one fan argued.
Bear has not yet responded to the criticism and the video is currently still active on his Instagram page.
