When it was announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira would be headlining the Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show, people were thrilled to see these two divas share the stage together in what is sure to be an unforgettable show. However, if a new source is to be believed, there might be some pretty "icy" interactions behind the scenes.
A source told Love B. Scott that Lopez and Shakira "aren't really feeling each other." If you were expecting a duet or number performed together in February, you should probably adjust your expectations.

According to reports, time constraints are causing a lot of tension between the two performers.
"As usual with these Super Bowl performances, the performers are having trouble fitting their set into the time constraints. Right now, the halftime show in the works is running way longer than the allotted time. The NFL, along with the powers-that-be are trying to solve the issue. There were initial plans for them to perform a significant portion of the halftime show together ā but that's out the window. As of now, they're just planning to appear briefly together at the end of the set. There isn't any real feud, but there's definitely a chill in the air between the two stars."
It's tough to share the limelight, and when you have as many hits to choose from as these two, it's sure to get a little tricky.

From the sound of things, it seems like Lopez was surprised that she would have to share the stage at all.
"They're telling everyone that limiting how much time Jennifer and Shakira spend on stage together has a lot to do with their different styles of music, but others close to production say that it has more to do with the fact that Jennifer was forced into sharing the performance with Shakira in the first place. Initially, she believed the halftime show was hers alone ā only to have the NFL and Pepsi (the Super Bowl halftime show sponsor) add Shakira later."

Lopez is having a banner year already, gaining major awards acclaim for Hustlers (will she get an Oscar nomination tomorrow?), so headlining the Super Bowl is just icing on the cake at this point. She gave fans an inside look on Tik Tok of the hard work that she's putting into preparation. She says in the video:
"I'm a little sore right now... not gonna lie. Taking it day by day, trying to parcel out my time, flying back and forth from Miami to here on the weekends. Listen, I am not complaining; it's amazing to have to do that, to have to go to Super Bowl rehearsals, to have to come here for award shows. Iām fine, I'm fine."
We'll have to see how this translates to the show on February 2nd!
