“Power” star 50 Cent isn’t playing around when it comes to collecting the money owed to him by “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Teairra Mari.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) is back in court accusing Mari of blowing off the court battle. He recently accused her of refusing to turn over all of her financial information, including details of her VH1 paychecks.
The rapper is attempting to locate Mari’s assets to seize the money. He believes she is not being completely truthful about her finances. 50 Cent says Mari has dragged her feet and continues to answer questions about her income.
In newly filed documents, 50 Cent is asking the judge to grant his motion to compel, since Mari can’t be bothered to appear in court. The motion wants Mari to pay an additional $5,295.60 in sanctions. 50 Cent is already owed $30,000 in attorney fees from Mari.
He accuses her of failing to pay a dime on the debt. In court docs he states, “To date, Mari has failed to pay a single dime to Jackson in satisfaction of the Judgment despite earning over $100,000 this past year. Her previous claims under oath that she is “broke” no longer ring true, and it is more clear than ever that she has no intention of paying her debts.”
50 accuses the reality star of taking steps to “actively conceal her assets and prevent” him from collecting. He says Mari was paid a total of $100,000 for her role on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood”, and is trying to seize her paychecks.
Back in 2018, Teairra Mari sued 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad, accusing them of engaging in a plan to sexually objectify, threaten, intimidate, humiliate and degrade her. She claimed her ex logged into her Instagram account and posted a sexually graphic video that featured “ejaculate” on her face.
Marí said after she took down the video, 50 Cent reposted the video on his account. 50 denied all the allegations and said by the time he reposted the image, it was already all over the internet. A judge sided with 50 Cent and awarded him $30,000 in attorney fees.
For the past year, 50 Cent has been trying to collect on that along with an additional $4k he won in sanctions. Marí has even claimed in court that she is “broke broke.”
A judge has yet to rule.
