UPDATE

10:20 AM PT — Since the story went viral, Nicole Curran opted to turn her Instagram page private, presumably in reaction to the Beyoncé fans response to the video.

Beyoncé is a national treasure, there's no doubt about that ... but for some reason, everyone believes she's so untouchable that even being spoken to in public by a mere mortal is forbidden.

Bey and Jay are the biggest news of the day after sitting courtside during Game 3 of the NBA Finals and interacting with the wife of Golden State Warrior owner Joe Lacob's wife, Nicole Curran.

The Beyhive went absolutely nuts, and attacked Curran for leaning over the Queen while praising Beyoncé for allegedly showing restraint and not dragging the woman all over the court.

However, if you look closely at the video -- through non-Beyhive glasses -- it really doesn't look like anything happened. The singer appeared to have a pleasant interaction with Curran before focusing back on the game.

Later in the night, when Curran was missing from her seat everyone speculated that Bey got her tossed, but that idea was later proven false when she returned to her seat.

Although the idea, that anyone in the presence of Beyoncé is not worth her time, may be fun -- it doesn't seem to be accurate.

Curran also backed up the fact that everything was cool when she later posted a photo of her and Bey, and wrote, "We should all help and support each other." She also had to shut off her comments because fans began spamming her feed with hate.

Further evidence that Bey probably didn't mind the "lean over" during the game ... she's done it herself when she was once caught leaning over Jay to speak with actor Jake Gyllenhaal during a 2014 game between the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets.

But, apparently everyone forgot about that.
