Antonella Barba

Former ‘American Idol’ Contestant Arrested for Heroin Distribution

Antonella Barba —  who appeared on “American Idol” back in 2007 — was arrested in Virginia this week on a charge of distributing heroin.

According to the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, Barba was on Thursday and charged with one count of distributing more than 100 grams of heroin. It’s a felony charge and Barba is being held without bail.

She is due in court on Monday morning.

Barba appeared on the sixth season of “American Idol” and made it into the Top 16 (Jordin Sparks eventually took home the crown). During her run on the show, racy photos of her appeared online, including wet T-shirt pics of her posing in the fountain of the National World War II Memorial.

She was also charged in 2010 with shoplifting after she allegedly walked off with less than $20 worth of goods from an Urban Outfitters in New York City.
