Jenna Bush Hager showered love on her sister, American activist Barbara Bush, who just became a new mom.
On September 27, the proud aunt took to social media to congratulate Barbara on delivering her first child with her husband Craig Coyne in Maine.
Barbara and Coyne said their wedding vows on the Atlantic coast about three years ago. A ceremony her sister described as “secret.”
Welcoming The Newest Family Member
Jenna uploaded four photos of her niece, Cora Georgina, who she claimed is already forming a “feisty” attitude. She said in the warm tribute,
“Dearest Cora Georgia, Today is the day I got to meet my most beautiful, precious, feisty, niece (a bit earlier than we expected!).”
The Today co-host wrote that she “witnessed in awe” as the “dearest, toughest” Barbara “became a mama.” Jenna called the occasion the day she “fell in love!”

The mother-of-three noted that “some cousins are anxiously waiting to play with” the newborn but “not just yet love.” She signed off the post with “Xx auntie j.”
The journalist uploaded pictures of herself cuddling the latest addition to their family and a picture of the new parents on a hospital bed with their daughter.
Her Supportive Family
In March 2020, The Blast reported that the “Today Show” host has always expressed the love and support her parents have shown her and her sister over the years.
Jenna used her platform to share some words of encouragement from her father when she was stressed about balancing work and family while carrying her second baby.
That Wednesday, Jenna said her father texted her out of the blue with words that powered her through her pregnancy. She explained,
“[My father] texted me this beautiful text that was like, ‘Jen, mom told me you called and you’re worried about this — that doesn’t matter.”
The 39-year-old also revealed the secret service nicknames given to her and her sibling when their father was still in the White House.
Jenna was named “Turquoise” after her blue eyes, while the new mom was named “Twinkle,” which she said was often mistaken for “Tinkle.”
The fraternal twin sisters also published a book together, titled “Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life,” published in 2017. Jenna shared the news with her Instagram followers.
The familial love does not end there; Jenna also has a loving relationship with her husband, businessman Henry Hager, with whom she shares 8-year-old Mila, 6-year-old Poppy, and 2-year-old Hal.
Her Father, Her Hero
In March 2020, The Blast also shared that the 39-year-old spoke of an embarrassing incident that happened to her when she was underage.
The author recalled that, at age 19, she was asked to call her father when she was caught trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID.
Being the child of the 43rd president at the time, she expected a stern punishment from her father. However, when he came to his daughter’s aid, he apologized to her.
Jenna’s dad said he wanted to offer his offspring the space she needed to make mistakes and grow.
He explained that it was sad that the journalist lacked such luxury by being a president’s daughter. It seems that Hager and her family lead a normal life despite their prestigious family status.
