Ashley Olsen Makes Her First Red Carpet Appearance In Over Two Years

Ashley Olsen, the former actress, made her first red-carpet appearance this week in over two years. The ‘Full House’ alum took on the opportunity to show up for the 20th anniversary of YES, a non-profit organization, which was founded by Olsen’s boyfriend’s father. Curious? YES stands for Young Eisner Scholars, dedicated to helping underprivileged students from economically weaker sections of the society complete their higher education.

This was Olsen’s first red carpet appearance since 2019 when Ashley and her twin sister Kate-Mary were photographed on the red carpet of the CFDA Fashion Awards. Olsen was accompanied by her boyfriend Louis Eisner and the couple seemed color-coordinated and chic. The successful designer pulled off a sophisticated look and was seen in an all-black ensemble with a black coat. Eisner was dressed to the nines in a white-and-black button-down. The couple has been very private since they began dating in 2017, and their appearance at YES' anniversary in California was one of the few times they appeared in public together.

In an interview earlier this year, the Olsen sisters talked about why both of them had kept their public appearances lowkey for the past few years. She reflected that while they were growing up, being discreet and private was a big element in their lives, which was why they decided to take some time off from the fame.

Kate and Ashley witnessed incredible success in their teen years. On the 15th anniversary of their fashion line ‘The Row’, the sisters talked about why they thought they needed a break. “We did not really want to be in front of it”, Ashley Olsen told the i-D Magazine. The actresses-turned-fashion-divas sisters mentioned that whilst along their acting career, they wondered if they had given their authentic selves a shot. “We wanted to explore things that interested us and build something of our own in our true nature. We wanted to give creativity a chance”, they added.

As determination and luck would pronounce, their efforts came to life through a gorgeous red-carpet dress designed by them that their sister, Elizabeth Olsen wore to the 2021 Emmy Awards. “Sister’s love”, Elizabeth called it. The Olsen sisters have been successful and in the spotlight since their teen years, which was yet another reason they mentioned why they felt like having some personal time away from all the rush.

Later on, they mentioned how they used it for introspection and bonding and the results came out better than they had expected. When talked about her dressing style, Olsen mentioned that she and her sister have a design preference that changes with every opportunity. "But that doesn't mean that we don't also appreciate something truly ornate or maximal. Sometimes a collection even starts quite like that and gets pared down. It does not necessarily start from a simple place.” said Mary-Kate Olsen.

As far as the recent adventures of the twin sisters are concerned, they attended the 2021 Emmy Awards although could not be physically present at the venue. Not much has changed for the successful sisters romantically. Ashley seems to be smoothly enjoying her romantic relationship with her boyfriend. As for Kate-Mary, nothing has been offered from her end pertaining to how she feels after her divorce from Olivier Sarkozy.
