The Olsen Twins have been spotted out in New York City. The girls lit up their cigarettes for a quick smoke break outside of an office building.
The insanely private twins, 35 might be back to work but fans won’t know until they release something of course. The former actresses looked chilled out as they puffed away and sipped on coffee.
The Full House alums are rarely seen out and while they had no interaction with the photographers, they still managed to make a statement.
Twinning
The identical twins are hard to tell apart when they express their individual style but, on this day, Sept. 8 the fashion designers dressed similarly.
The girls wore comparable outfits with one in a brown blazer, a white shirt, and black pants. The other, a black button-up shirt, a black undershirt, and a pair of jeans. Boy, do they love those dark tones. They both wore their hair down and sported sunglasses, which were probably more for blending in than anything else.
Staying Private
The twins shared why they stay so private in an interview with Vice’s i-D Magazine, back in June while celebrating the 15th anniversary of their fashion brand, The Row.
“We were raised to be discreet people,” claims Mary-Kate. As simple as that. Ashley also added that after being in the spotlight for so long it was a refreshing change.
“We had just moved to New York. We were 18 years old,” she insists. “I think what we did know was that we wanted to take that time to take a break from what we were previously doing and to explore things that interested us, and explore what life has to offer.”
The girls famously moved to the city to attend college, they eventually decided post-secondary education was not for them and moved on to pursue fashion full-time.
Some Things You Can’t Hide
While the girls thrive to keep most of their life private, some things are harder to keep under wraps. Mary-Kate divorced Pierre Olivier Sarkozy earlier this year after six years of marriage. When this made headlines, fans were not surprised because they saw the duo as an odd couple anyway.
However, the newly divorced sister alarmed fans when it was revealed that she filed for an emergency court order after signing the divorce petition.
Ashley has been quietly dating artist Louis Eisner for a speculated three years. The couple have not confirmed a relationship, but the artist did share a picture of what looked like a rugged Ashley with a glass of wine and a machete, heading into the woods.

Passing The Torch
Fans will never stop being fascinated with the Olsen Twins but in the meantime, baby sister Elizabeth Olsen has taken their place. The actress most famous for playing Scarlett Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, credits her sisters with her interest in acting.
However, don’t hope to get any insight about the duo from her, she is just as tight-lipped as her siblings.
