According to reports Musk and Grimes have split, but continue to co-parent their son.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, revealed her son doesn’t call her mom. Rather she has taught him to call her by her first name, Claire.
“Being a mother feels weird to say. For some reason, I don’t identify with that word,” she said in a Vogue video documenting her getting ready for Monday’s Met Gala.
“He says Claire, but he doesn’t say Mama,” she revealed.
Her nickname for her child is ‘X.’
She continued to explain why her son calls her ‘Claire.’
“Maybe he like, can sense my distaste for the word ‘mother.’ Which, I don’t even know why I have a distaste for it, because I respect… I just can’t identify with it, weirdly,” she said.
Musk and Grimes were last seen ‘together’ at the Met Gala on September 13; however, they did not walk the red carpet together.
