Tarek El Moussa Says Wedding Plans With Fiancée Have Completely Changed

The star of the HGTV hit series "Flip or Flop" Tarek El Moussa spilled the details surrounding the atypical preparations for his upcoming wedding with his fiancée, Heather Rae Young.

The American TV personality told PEOPLE why he decided to make significant changes to his and the actress's wedding plans, including shifting wedding locations from Mexico to California.

He spoke of how much he and the "Selling Sunset" star initially loved their chosen wedding location in Cabo, Mexico, as well as the hotel they decided to use that was nearby. 

Moussa credited their change of heart to the pandemic as they had stricter restrictions, friends and family with concerns about traveling, and parents with health issues.

In August, Young updated her Instagram fans about the wedding, explaining that she and Moussa previously hired a wedding planner and sent out save the dates before changing plans. The Playboy star said of her upcoming wedding:

"I'm a big believer that everything works out the way it should and after seeing so much of our vision come together today we couldn't be happier."

Things seem to be working in their favor as the "Flipping 101" star said his bride-to-be is "much calmer" now that they will be tying the knot "closer to home."

The soon-to-be groom said, "Everything's been smooth moving forward," as Young found a wedding planner she connected with and liked, and they have built a great relationship. 

The Blast reported that after winning a battle against cancer and dealing with a public divorce from his estranged wife, Christina Haack, Moussa has found 'The One.'

The "Brother Vs. Brother" co-host has been in a relationship with the 34-year-old since 2019. 

On July 4, 2019, the lovebirds were first introduced on a boat ride with mutual friends in Newport Beach, California. Young was in a relationship and rejected Moussa's advances.

On the 28th of the same month, the two were spotted together, looking intimate on another boat ride in Redondo Beach, California.

Moussa updated people on his relationship status with the actress via social media. He uploaded a photo of them and a heartwarming caption detailing how he found happiness in love.

Young told Women's Health she feels at home with her fiance's children, who welcomed her into their life.

On July 25, 2020, the real estate guru popped the question to Young, who happily updated Instagram about the event. She captioned her post, "The Future Mrs. Tarek El Moussa."

The Blast recently shared that the groom-to-be, unfortunately, had to shut down two of his reality TV shows when he tested positive for COVID-19, 

Multiple reports say that the news of the 40-year-old's diagnosis also shut down his partner's production of "Selling Sunset."

The bride-to-be surprisingly tested negative to the virus but will be in a 10-day quarantine with her fiance regardless, in a show of love and support.
