James Charles has been slowly making his way back to main stream social media after his massive scandal earlier this year.
To refresh your memory, the beauty influencer was accused of texting and sending inappropriate photos to underage boys.
Multiple boys who said they were under the age of 18 posted on social media alleged that James solicited nude photographs from them, sent them explicit photos, or sent sexually explicit messages.
James has previously addressed allegations like this, for example his No More Lies video from 2019. But, he also defended himself in a tweet from this February where he claimed one of the accusers had an “ulterior motive” to publicly accuse him of “grooming.”

However, James came clean in April.
He published a video titled, “holding myself accountable,” where he owned up to some of the alleged rumors and accusations.
“These conversations should’ve never happened, point blank period. There is no excuse for it. There is no if, ands, or buts, and I take full responsibility for that. I trusted the information that was given to me, rather than the information I could have and should have gotten myself,” he told his millions of fans.
“To the guys involved with this situation, I wanna say I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I added you, I’m sorry that I flirted with you, and I’m really sorry if I ever made you uncomfortable. It is completely unacceptable,” he continued. “There is no one to blame for this other than myself. I f***ed up.”
The video has since been made private on his channel.
He proceeded to take a break from social media, but in recent months he has appeared to pick back up with his regularly scheduled programming.
On Wednesday, September 15, the former “Instant Influencer” host did a Q&A with fans on Instagram.
Many fans were curious about future collaborations on his YouTube channel, whether or not he will be coming out with his own makeup line and one of his biggest career regrets.
One fan asked James, “Are you excited for r.e.m. beauty 💖💖.”
Q&A with fans!
He replied, “I am!! I can’t wait to try all of the products and film a review for y’all.”
Another fan followed up, “What did Ariana do for you to say shes the rudest celebrity you have ever met?”
“Literally nothing. The fact that I said this is one of my biggest regrets of my career & it still follows me 4 years later which sucks. I plan on talking about it more in depth when I film my review of REM,” he admitted. “All I can hope us that people will listen with an open mind.”
Big mistake, Huge!
For those unfamiliar with the situation between James and Ariana, let’s take it back to 2018.
That year James explained Ariana had followed him on Instagram, but quickly unfollowed him.
When he asked her why she unfollowed him, the “God Is A Woman” singer explained that her fans were upset with her for following him due to some rude tweets he tweeted out in the past.
James explained in a YouTube video, “I was like, ‘Hey, did I do something wrong?’ And she literally was like, ‘Hey babe, I saw a lot of angry tweets from my fans and I would never want to disappoint them, so I unfollowed.’”
He continued, “You have a hundred million fans, it’s really disappointing that you would, like, stoop to the level of listening to people bullying me, just to, like, appease them, but okay.’ I’ve always looked up to Ariana and I think she’s one of the most talented vocalists of our generation, but it just really sucked that I was literally getting bullied by her fans and instead of just ignoring it and building a friendship she literally just listened to them and unfollowed, which is just saying that’s okay to do. That was a disappointing interaction.”
Looking back now, he wishes he would have said and done things differently.
