Addison Rae's Music Career

Although Rae is mostly famous for being a social media influencer, boasting 39.9 million followers on Instagram and 84.4 followers on TikTok, she showed fans this year that she's indeed a Jill of all Trades.

Not only did Rae come out with her Netflix debut "He's All That," which wasn't well-received by fans and critics alike, but she shocked fans with the release of her debut song "Obsessed" in March 2021.

Taking her surprise a step further, Rae also released the music video to the track on YouTube, and it has since garnered over 23 million views.

However, as is synonymous with most of Rae's projects, fans weren't having it and trolled her in the comments section of the video for being a narcissist and singing about how she's obsessed with herself.

Rae At The Met Gala

Rae's dropout from the iHeartRadio Music Festival comes days after her headline-making appearance at the 2021 Met Gala. For the prestigious Gala, Rae rocked a red corseted dress as she walked the red carpet after facing backlash in past months for being on the guest list.

To no one's surprise, fans came for Rae's look, which she described as "vintage" on the red carpet. The Blast previously reported how netizens trolled the influencer on Twitter for her outfit.

Many likened her Tom Ford gown to something cheap that was purchased online. Others smoked her for referring to the dress as vintage.

Regardless of the backlash Rae received from fans in the past months, the 20-year-old seems to pay no mind to the haters as she keeps doing her thing.
