Fans of Addison Rae are going to miss her at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival.
The social media personality took to her Instagram stories on September 16, two days before the highly-anticipated music festival, to announce the sad news, writing:
Hi y’all! After a lot of thinking I have decided that it’s best to not perform at heart. I want to give my fans 110% and I don’t feel like I’m ready to do that.
Rae concluded, thanking her beloved fans for their understanding and support before declaring her love for them.
Addison Rae Announced To Perform At The Daytime Stage
Back in June, iHeart Radio announced via their website the star-studded lineup for their anticipated music festival scheduled to hold for two days on September 17th and 18th.
The famous TikToker was set to perform on the 18th as part of The Daytime Stage segment set aside for emerging artists.
Other artists announced to perform alongside Rae include Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, Yungblud, Conan Gray, The Kid LAROI, Gabby Barrett, DaBaby, and more.
For the first day of the music festival and the Main Stage event, the likes of Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Maroon 5, Khalid, Florida Georgia Line, amongst others, are set to take fans on a ride with thrilling performances.
The legendary music festival will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest and take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. For fans that cannot attend in person, the event will be aired on The CW network.
Addison Rae’s Music Career
Although Rae is mostly famous for being a social media influencer, boasting 39.9 million followers on Instagram and 84.4 followers on TikTok, she showed fans this year that she’s indeed a Jill of all Trades.
Not only did Rae come out with her Netflix debut “He’s All That,” which wasn’t well-received by fans and critics alike, but she shocked fans with the release of her debut song “Obsessed” in March 2021.
Taking her surprise a step further, Rae also released the music video to the track on YouTube, and it has since garnered over 23 million views.
However, as is synonymous with most of Rae’s projects, fans weren’t having it and trolled her in the comments section of the video for being a narcissist and singing about how she’s obsessed with herself.
Rae At The Met Gala
Rae’s dropout from the iHeartRadio Music Festival comes days after her headline-making appearance at the 2021 Met Gala. For the prestigious Gala, Rae rocked a red corseted dress as she walked the red carpet after facing backlash in past months for being on the guest list.

To no one’s surprise, fans came for Rae’s look, which she described as “vintage” on the red carpet. The Blast previously reported how netizens trolled the influencer on Twitter for her outfit.
Many likened her Tom Ford gown to something cheap that was purchased online. Others smoked her for referring to the dress as vintage.
Regardless of the backlash Rae received from fans in the past months, the 20-year-old seems to pay no mind to the haters as she keeps doing her thing.
