In response to the trolls, Karl Anthony-Towns took to his Twitter to defend his girlfriends’ fitness journey; he stated that it was all-natural and as a result of hard work, took jabs at people who had trolled her for her post and encouraged her fans to test her app and try it out.

In her caption, she made no mention of the specific time it took to achieve her body goals but did reveal that it did not happen overnight and that the “transformation was a gradual change.”

The post was part of a promotional campaign for a contest by her business brand, Frstplace, a workout and fitness platform that gives exercise and well-being guides to subscribers.

The campaign was going to award a prize of $2500 for the most dramatic transformation photos, just like the photos Woods posted.

Although several fans and celebrities made positive remarks about Woods' post, and congratulated her for the hard work she put into the process, there are some that felt otherwise.

They let out negative comments on the post, because they believed that her body change was as a result of plastic and cosmetic surgery, and not natural weight loss as she claimed.

One comment read, “Stop telling these people you did this with diet and exercise. You looked beautiful before and you look beautiful now but let’s be honest”. Another wrote in the comment section and said, “I know you not saying an app gave you this body. Girl.”

While many simply believed that Woods lied about her transformation, some were also angry and frustrated at her alleged lack of transparency and intent to deceive people for profit.

One of such comments read, “She looks good, however, a plastic surgeon helped with the transformation! Please stop selling false hope to young girls and women!”

One of his posts read, “Are we saying that women can’t work hard and transform their bodies?? I’ve SEEN the hard work and I’ve seen the results, and trust me, this is all-natural.

...Since she was 10, people have been calling this woman vile things because of her weight, and instead of letting the Internet run her life, she went out, put the damn work in, and changed her whole life. FITNESS SAVED HER LIFE!”

He further promoted Woods’ app; sharing kind words to her fans for their unwavering support. He then gave a shout-out to Woods in a short tweet.

From friends to lovers, is the best phrase to describe the relationship between Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns.

They went public as a couple in September 2020, after years of friendship, during which Woods even said in an Instagram comment that they “had too deep a friendship to think of him as a partner.”
