The rapper and the former UFC featherweight and lightweight double-champion almost had an actual brawl at the event. The two had a physical altercation before the awards show. The incident was caught by photographers and some attendees. There was even a video of the two, but the MMA veteran insisted to Entertainment Tonight that "absolutely nothing" happened between them.

"Absolutely nothing. I don't know. He showed up, and I don't know. I don't know the guy," McGregor told the publication. "Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean," he added. "I certainly don't fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don't even know the guy. I don't know anything about him, except that he's with Megan Fox."

His rep also echoed his response.

However, an eyewitness revealed that McGregor and the musician "exchanged some words" on the red carpet before the UFC fighter reportedly attacked Kelly. The latter and his girlfriend left the scene and "threatened not to pose for photos," as per the source, but then they eventually recovered and worked for the camera after McGregor left.

Kelly and McGregor's fight certainly didn't look like "nothing."

Ja Rule also shared his views on the incident. "I heard there was a fight with Machine Gun and Conor McGregor just over there about 10 minutes ago," he told Entertainment Tonight. "That's what I heard over there, I'm just relaying the message."

The rapper added, "I got the tea early."

An insider present at the event saw the whole ordeal and revealed to Page Six that McGregor and Kelly “had to be pulled apart” on the red carpet.

“They scuffled, then it settled down and Conor went for him again,” the insider said while also noting that McGregor threw his drink at Kelly.

It was also reported that the photographers at the event “weren’t happy” and were “saying they were going to boycott Conor because they were worried MGK and Megan wouldn’t walk.”

The fighter was also "ready to throw fists," as per another source. “Security was having trouble holding him back.”

According to MMA Madness, McGregor asked Fox for a picture, but the rapper didn't allow him -- making the Irish UFC star angry.

MGK's Reaction

While McGregor gave a short interview about the fight, Kelly and Fox never commented on the issue. However, the rocker took to his Instagram stories over 30 minutes ago and posted a video of himself drinking juice and laughing after.

While he didn't add any notes to the clip, it seemed like it was his reaction to McGregor's interview.

He and Fox also just posted photos of themselves posing at the event.
