Many of King's friends expressed their excitement via the comment section. "Congratulations!" Chrissy Metz, the "This Is Us" star replied. The musician, Aijia, also added, "Perfection!!!! Big love to you guys. Things will never be the same in the best way."
Shanae Grimes, who also ushered her second child to the world last month, also gushed, "yay! Congrats mama."
Actor Jonny Beauchamp expressed amazement with three crying emojis, and TV producer, Patricia Azarcoya Schneider, added, “Beautiful baby, beautiful family! All over the world for you. I’m happy."
On his Instagram page, Tooker shared the picture King shared. He also posted a photo of their home. In the middle of the room, there was a huge balloon with the words "Lucky" hanging on it. King commented on his post saying, "The best dad in the world! I love you!"
Backstory
King first made it public that she was pregnant back in March. At the time, the singer and songwriter took to her Instagram account to share a photo that featured her and her fiancé posing while holding the ultrasound image of their unborn baby.
She captioned the picture, "Well, we did something! Me and @tattooker made a little human! We are very excited to share the news that we are pregnant."
King admitted that she had "a great deal of fear" when sharing her pregnancy with the public. On the reason why, the Los Angeles native mentioned, "This miracle baby comes after two very big losses." She continued, "It's a terrifying and extremely painful experience for everyone. But the sun always rises, and I never really let go to let the universe decide when I was ready."
Fast forward to July, King praised Tooker on the way he took care of her during the pregnancy.
"He's the love of my life, he also literally carries me up the stairs every night, washes my hair, combs it, and bathes and dries off the lower half of my body," the musician gushed at the time. "Thank you to @tattooker for being a good sport and such a dream at taking care of me through this pregnancy!!!" she concluded.
King's Battle With Fertility Issues
Prior to this, the musician suffered two pregnancy losses. This was amid a battle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The condition which affected ovulation led to hormonal imbalance and irregular cycles. When King found out she was expecting, she was afraid to tell anyone.
In an interview with People, she admitted that the trauma of her losses still haunted her.
"I've experienced loss and to go through that pain of losing two pregnancies, it just feels like life is over, life is done. "You have to go through this intense and really just unbelievably draining and shocking grieving period. You feel like such a failure," King told the outlet.
"Then when you get pregnant again, you're so afraid to enjoy it and be happy because you're so scared that it's going to be taken away. Just because I'm having a pregnancy that's going well now doesn't mean that I'm over losing any pregnancy."
However, she was grateful for her support system during that time and had opted not to find out the sex of her baby until she gave birth.
King and Tooker's Engagement
King revealed in October that she got engaged to her fiancé on their one-year anniversary. She shared images of the proposal which took place in New Mexico.
King explained on her Instagram, the details of her proposal. She mentioned that they rode horses up a mountain to go gold-panning.
King then noted that she had a ring in her pocket and wanted to be the one to propose to her fiancé. However, Tooker beat her to it and proposed to her first.
"So I immediately got down on my knee too. I love you, Daniel. 1 year down, forever to go. I said Yes by the way and so did he!" she concluded on her Instagram.
King Empathized With Other Mothers
On her Instagram page, King offered words of encouragement to mothers who had gone through similar experiences.
She expressed that at a point in her life, every pregnancy announcement felt like a dagger to her.
She addressed them while writing in part, "That soon-to-be mom, who's maybe had a loss, or has been struggling with fertility, I'm telling you, our babies come. And I love you. What women go through on this journey makes us nothing less than WARRIORS. So thank you for your prayers and love for our high-risk pregnancy!"
